There are several ways to promote your site such as Twitter. Twitter is a site required pretty by Webmaster, and we can say that is required quite rightly so. A large difference between using Twitter from webmaster, is how one managed to make those who read our articles to follow us on Twitter.

How we can attract as many visitors to follow us on Twitter?

In this article we try to answer at this question, and at the same time we show some examples of how some webmasters have managed to integrate a link to Twitter on their websites.

First – the link to Twitter must be as visible in the page, and this can be done by positioning the link on the right side or on top of site.

Second – the link(rather the image of link) must be as original and as expressive for your website.

Thirdly – some webmasters believe they can make time to have as many pursuers on Twitter by attaching a text link to Twitter, a message that describes what to expect the followers.

For all these requirements that must be satisfied by a webmaster to attract as many pursuers on Twitter, you can still see examples of their integration.

Background design trends for 2010

November 25th, 2009

Sites evolves, and also evolves on the functionality and the design. Like anything that evolves, while changes occur, or rather trends appear. This article is the first from the series of articles that will come, articles about design trends from 2010. As the first article about the trend to design websites, we start with the beginning, namely the background trends from 2010.

Like any other feature of a site, a background may attract visitors, or may "annoy", and considering the busy background as a space big enough to view a site, the latter should be chosen carefully. A background should not contain first tacky colors that disturb the eye. A background that contains a good size bright colors may disturb the visitor.

In this article we will try to give as many examples of how it should look like a site background 2010.

First time I would like to show examples of relatively simple backgrounds, simple background but but tastefully integrated into site design. Besides the most common background on net, namely white background, tendency of "simple" backgrounds in 2010, are backgrounds that contain dark colors, namely those which consist in their black, brown or gray color.

Buildings with green roofs

October 22nd, 2009

We can find green roofs on houses, and also on office building. To have a green roof on building can be interpreted like a philosophy which focuses on increasing the efficiency of resource use energy, water and materials. A green building can be interpreted in many different ways, and one of the common views is that they should be designed and operated to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment by efficiently using energy, water, protecting occupant health and improving employee productivity, and reducing waste, pollution and environmental degradation.

One of environmental feature of green buildings is a green roof. Green roof has extensive plantings on a rooftop or terrace, and these are popular with environmentalists because they reduce rainwater runoff.

Some of these buildings that have green roofs are presented in this article.

Waldspirale

The Waldspirale(wooded spiral) is the name of a residential building complex in Darmstadt, Germany, the building was built in the 1990s. The Waldspirale is a green building designed by an Austrian artist, Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

Waldspirale 01

There are other apartment buildings in Darmstadt, but the U-shaped Waldspirale is special. The roof of the altogether 12 floors is covered with grass, shrubs and trees and the facade follows an irregular grid organization. The building contains 105 apartments, a parking garage, a kiosk as well as a café and a bar, the last two being located at the top of the spiral.

Waldspirale 02

The building has more than 1000 windows. Not one of these windows are shaped the same in this “out of line” building, and many have “tree tenants” growing right through them. Some of the apartments are decorated in Friedensreich Hundertwasser’s personal style and exhibit the colorful tiles in the bath and kitchen that are characteristic of his work.

Trends in designing chairs

October 16th, 2009

A chair is a raised surface used to sit on, commonly for use by one person. Chair design considers intended usage, ergonomics (how comfortable it is for the occupant), as well as non-ergonomic functional requirements such as size, stack ability, fold ability, weight, durability, stain resistance and artistic design. Intended usage determines the desired seating position.

Available in a wide range to cater to people of all ages and satisfy their seating needs, chairs are there to make you comfortable and give your home a pleasant touch with their various sizes, designs and styles.

As we spend long periods of time sitting on chairs in our schools, offices, homes and workplaces, it is important to select the right material and design that helps maintain proper posture without causing any back and neck pain.

In this article you can read about the latest trends in designing chairs.

Nissan car concept

October 15th, 2009

Nissan and other car manufacturers are always testing new concept cars to gauge public response to new styling, to create buzz about a new model line, or to just test new technology. Like other car manufacturers, Nissan has turned his attention to greener cars, both electric cars and hybrid. Because Nissan is one of the most innovative car manufacturers, we decided to present five of the company’s future projects cars.

Nissan Qazana Concept

The Nissan Qazana Concept made its first ever appearance at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Inspired by a simple desire to have fun behind the wheel, Nissan Qazana Concept shows that mind-numbing motoring could be a thing of the past. Nissan’s Qazana might seem like an out-there concept, but Nissan Design Europe’s vice president Alfonso Albaisa says that it’ll keep many of the show car’s cues when it goes into production.

Nissan Qazana Concept 01

The Qazana will morph into a production car in 2010 and the new small crossover will be manufactured in the UK’s Sunderland factory, securing 1100 jobs according to Nissan.

Compact overall dimensions (4060mm in length, 1570mm tall, 1780 wide and a wheelbase of 2530mm) mean Qazana would be ideally suited to the urban environment. Yet its rugged appearance also suggests that it could be taken off-road as well. A tall stance, truncated rear styling and short front and rear overhangs add to feeling of robustness and strength, but the low roof line, sleek window profile and broad shoulders provides a very sporty feel.

Nissan Qazana Concept 02

This contrast between sporty performance and all-terrain potential is underlined by the venturi-style skid plate at the rear of the vehicle, Qazana’s extended ground clearance and the soft rubber spats which edge the wheel arches and help to disguise the vehicle’s long suspension travel. The graphite colored spats contrast vividly with the bold exterior colour, a unique shade called White Titanium, and the strikingly styled 20 inch black chrome alloy wheels.

Alfonso Albaisa, Vice President, Nissan Design Europe, says: “When it comes to design, Nissan has developed a reputation for constantly delivering something different. The global success of Qashqai has proven that the car buying public is fed up with the conventional… but we are not prepared to sit on our laurels. Qazana might seem a radical solution but important elements of the concept do point to a future Nissan production vehicle.”

Nissan Bevel Concept

The Nissan Bevel Concept is a dynamic, multi-purpose vehicle that, unlike currently available sport utility vehicles or minivans that emphasize passenger needs and comfort, places its focus strictly on the primary user – male empty-nester’s actively engaged in hobbies, recreation and community service. Bevel offers unique, function-inspired asymmetrical styling, a high-utility three-zone interior and technology ranging from glass roof-mounted solar panels to drive-by-wire steering, throttle and braking. Nissan says its Bevel concept was designed for 45- to 60-year-old men. Design conceived at Nissan Design America, Inc. (NDA) in La Jolla, California, in collaboration with Nissan advanced product planning groups in the United States.

Nissan Bevel Concept 01

Bevel’s compact exterior dimensions belie the immense utility inside. It rides on a 115.4-inch wheelbase, longer than the current Nissan Murano (111.2 inches) but shorter than the Nissan Quest (124.0 inches). Its short front and rear overhangs give it a manageable overall length of 173.2 inches, while width measures a full 75.0 inches. Overall height of 63.8 inches is nearly three inches shorter than Murano (66.5 inches), yet with Bevel’s low load floor the total interior cargo height is the same as Murano.
